Education

The Education department strives to work closely with all departments and staff within Norton County Hospital. The Association for Continued Education (ACE) provides in-house education and CNEs for RNs, LPNs, RCP and EMTs and CNAs. We also have careLearning courses that are assigned annually to all staff to meet federal and state education requirements. Individual departmental classes for dietary, engineering, department managers, and all-house staff are offered monthly. We have independent studies for RNs and LPNs to obtain CNEs.

There is one certified RN who instructs the Neonatal Resuscitation Program through the American Academy of Pediatrics. The Education department serves as a training site for the American Heart Association to provide certification in Heart Saver and Healthcare Provider CPR. CME are obtained by our professional staff through telemedicine courses on a weekly basis. The Education department works closely with various agencies to provide a well-balanced scope of educational offers to professional staff, including ACLS, TNCC and PALS.
