Primary responsibilities include assisting providers, collecting vital statistics and reason for patient visit, and maintaining the electronic medical record for patients. Laboratory Tech (MT or MLT) — Full Time, Part Time or PRN ⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a full-time, part-time or PRN employment opportunity for a Lab Tech in our Laboratory department. Applicant should be an MT, MLS or MLT with an ASCP certification or eligible for certification. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Normal full-time schedule is 40 hours per week with rotating on-call schedule for nights, weekends and holidays. Part-time or PRN hours will vary. Occupational Therapist — Part Time or Full Time ⬇️

Norton County Hospital has an immediate opening for an Occupational Therapist in our Rehabilitation department. Contact Human Resources for hiring incentives. Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and have current or obtain Kansas licensure prior to start date. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing all inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy evaluations and treatments and will manage their own caseload. This position could be either part time or full time for the candidate who is self-driven and motivated to build the OT program. This position will have varying hours Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

Physical Therapist — Full Time ⬇️

Norton County Hospital has immediate opening for full-time outpatient Physical Therapist to join our health care team. Applicants must be able to obtain Kansas licensure and have graduated from an accredited program. Experienced and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Norton County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with a progressive rehab department that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our regional community. Applicants will be joining a busy outpatient department staffed by two other full-time PTs, an OT, and two PTAs who places high value on quality of care. Interest in continued education in Women's Health physical therapy is preferred but not necessary to apply. Respiratory Therapist — Part Time or Full Time ⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a part-time or full-time career opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist. This position is responsible for performing all aspects of Respiratory Therapy including ABGs, CPAP management, nebulizers, incentive spirometry, body plethysmography, pulmonary rehabilitation, a wide variety of diagnostic testing including EKGs, Holter monitoring, stress testing, and pulmonary function testing, assist with sleep studies patient assessments, and equipment management. This position will share on-call responsibility to respond to emergency situations involving the respiratory status of patients. This positon will provide education to patients on respiratory diseases as appropriate.

Position qualifications include:

  • Current Kansas licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Maintains current certification in Healthcare Provider BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as approved by facility policy. (If not current in the previous advanced certifications, time may be allowed after hire to complete them.)

Chief Executive Officer ⬇️

Norton County Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital with a Rural Health Clinic serving patients in northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska, is seeking a dynamic individual to lead the delivery of high quality patient care, while managing the financial sustainability of the organization. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves the Norton County Hospital and Norton Medical Clinic by providing strategic leadership and financial oversight and direction. The CEO is also responsible for working with the Board of Trustees and the Leadership team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.

    • Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration or a health care related field with three (3) to five (5) years of executive level leadership in health care preferred.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field with ten (10) years of senior management experience (Departmental Director or above), five (5) of which are as a top level executive in health care (Vice President or above).
    • Extensive professional and technical knowledge of health care delivery systems, Hospital Management and related areas.
    • Knowledge of marketing, strategic and financial planning, quality, change management and risk assessment.
    • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of management, physicians, employees, governing board, business, government, community officials and the general public.

Director of Nursing ⬇️

Qualifications:

  • Registered nurse in good standing in the state of Kansas or prepared to obtain Kansas licensure.
