Patient Care

Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) — Full Time

Norton County Hospital has an immediate, full-time career opportunity for a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW). The LSCSW will provide quality clinical behavioral health services including comprehensive diagnostic behavioral health assessments, interventions, education, advocacy, referrals and consultations primarily for patients of Norton Medical Clinic. Candidate will also provide services for Norton County Hospital and community partners, as needed.

Medical Laboratory Technologist — Full Time

Norton County Hospital has a full-time employment opportunity for a Medical Technologist in our Laboratory department. Applicant should be an MT or MLT with an ASCP certification or eligible for certification. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Normal schedule is 36-40 hours per week with rotating on-call schedule for nights, weekends and holidays. Applicant must be organized, detail-oriented, have excellent communication, customer service and computer skills, and be able to multi-task. Physical Therapist — Full Time

Norton County Hospital has immediate opening for full-time outpatient Physical Therapist to join our health care team. Applicants must be able to obtain Kansas licensure and have graduated from an accredited program. Experienced and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Norton County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with a progressive rehab department that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our regional community. Applicants will be joining a busy outpatient department staffed by two other full-time PTs, an OT, and two PTAs who places high value on quality of care. Interest in continued education in Women's Health physical therapy is preferred but not necessary to apply. Physician Assistant or Advance Practice Registered Nurse — Full Time

Norton County Hospital has a full-time opening for a Physician Assistant or APRN to join our medical team. NCH is a 24-bed critical access hospital with a Level IV trauma emergency department and attached Rural Health Clinic. This position will take two consecutive 24-hour ER call rotations Monday through Friday and will be included in the weekend ER call rotation. Depending on applicant’s experience and interest, would also consider for assist with acute care patient visits in the rural health clinic. Must have or obtain an active Kansas license to practice medicine. Must have or obtain certification of BLS, ACLS, PALS and ATLS. Must engage with medical students and other health professional students and residents.

Norton County Hospital has a full-time career opportunity for an RN to join our health care team. This position is 12-hour night shifts, with rotating weekends and holiday schedule. The RN Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility of overseeing in-patient and emergency room activity, shift supervision and support of peers, directing patient care activities, functioning as a clinical resource and is a liaison to the Director of Nursing. This position will work with acute, skilled and intermediate levels of patient care as well as in labor and delivery. Grant Coordinator — Part Time (full-time potential)

Norton County Hospital has a career opportunity for a Grant Coordinator. The part-time position is funded by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Pathways to a Healthy Kansas program, which is aimed at improving healthy lifestyles and creating healthy places using a community-wide approach. Norton County was selected as one of the designated Pathways communities in 2020, which allows for the creation and enhancement of community health projects. There is potential for this position to become full time with the addition of assisting with grant and community engagement projects specifically related to the Norton County Hospital.

Hospital Maintenance — Full Time

Norton County Hospital has an employment opportunity for a full-time Maintenance staff in our Engineering Department. This position assists with grounds keeping, maintenance, upkeep and repair of the building. On-the-job training is provided in areas such as climate control, plumbing, water, natural gas, electrical, mechanical, medical gas, communications, carpentry, painting, plastering, refinishing and facility equipment. This position will share in the on-call schedule for the department. Previous building maintenance experience preferred. Housekeeping — Full Time or Part Time

Norton County Hospital has a full-time or part-time employment opportunity in our Environmental Services department. Environmental Services staff are responsible for cleaning all areas of the hospital, clinic and facilities. The full-time position is scheduled 8-hour shifts and has rotating weekend and holiday schedules which include differential pay. Shift start times will vary based on duties assigned. Part-time shifts will vary. Benefit package includes paid time off (PTO); BCBS health insurance; and KPERS retirement, life insurance and disability. Part-time may qualify for some benefits depending on hours.
