Drug Testing

The Norton County Hospital recognizes a responsibility to help provide a safe and productive work environment for all employees and to promote the safe delivery of health care to our patients. The Norton County Hospital has a particular concern about substance abuse, since it can affect an employee’s productivity and efficiency; jeopardize the safety of the employee, co-workers, patients and the public; and violates state and federal statutes. The Norton County Hospital has developed a policy regarding the use of alcohol and illegal drugs that we believe best serves the interests of all employees. This policy applies to both Norton County Hospital and Norton Medical Clinic property—including all parking lots, vehicles in the parking lot, off-site properties, and private vehicles being used for Hospital business—hereinafter referred to as “premises." Under this policy, the prohibited use of alcohol and illegal drugs will not be tolerated.
