Patient Registration

Check-in information and directions are available on each specific service page. For more specific information regarding where to check in for a particular service, we invite you to choose the "Services" button in the top navigation and click the appropriate service you need. However, for convenience, all general registration information and links for patients of the Norton County Hospital and Norton Medical Clinic are included below.

Emergency

The Emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For emergency services, please enter through the hospital’s east main entrance (look for the long covered walkway), and the ED is located on the right after entering the first set of doors.

For safety of staff and patients, the ED entrance inside is locked. Upon arrival, there is a buzzer to notify staff that you need admittance to the ED. During business hours, enter through the hospital's main lobby, left of the inside ED entrance, if needed. Feel free to park in the hospital's main lot adjacent to Hwy 36.

Clinic

The Norton Medical Clinic is located at 807 N. State Street (also Hwy 283) and has its own entrance and parking lot. Look for the large, white Norton Medical Clinic sign that helps direct patients to the corrent parking lot and entrance.

Outpatient

To register for outpatient services, such as Laboratory, Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging and Specialty Clinics, enter the hospital through the west "Outpatient Clinic Entrance."

The outpatient registration desk is open Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Registration personnel will record demographic information of the patient and the person financially responsible. Patient insurance information will be obtained, and photo copies will be taken of insurance cards. Please bring your insurance card with you to each visit.

On weekdays after 5 p.m., and on the weekend, please stop by the hospital Nurses' Station, located in the hospital's east main entrance, for assistance. Turn left through the first set of doors.

Feel free to park in the hospital's main lot adjacent to Hwy 36.

Rehabilitation (Physical and Speech Therapy)

Patients for Rehabilitation services can check in and register at the reception desk in the therapy department, which is located across the street from the hospital at 711 N. Norton Ave. This building is shared with Colby Community College and there is parking close to the main entrance on the northwest corner.

Visiting Hours (Norton County Hospital)

Visiting hours for NCH are from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Doors will be locked/unlocked accordingly. Visitors should enter the hospital's east main entrance (look for the long covered walkway), turn left after the first set of doors to go to the main lobby, and follow directions to check in at the Nurses' Station.
