NORTON, Kan. – Norton County Hospital is hosting a free educational session on health insurance options and enrollment for 2017. Join us on Monday, Dec. 5, starting at 6 p.m. at the Norton County Hospital conference room, to hear from an expert about the current choices available, differences between plan options and how to enroll.
This expert, a health insurance navigator, will be presenting from 6-7 p.m. and will stay after to help enroll people in health insurance coverage on-site. She will primarily focus on the Health Insurance Marketplace, but will also be able to provide information for Medicare and Medicaid patients and answer their questions. For coverage to begin Jan. 1, 2017, patients need to enroll in the marketplace by Dec. 15, 2016. For 2017 Medicare coverage, open enrollment ends Dec. 7, 2016.
Those wanting to enroll on-site should plan to bring a personal laptop if they have one. A RSVP is appreciated by Friday, Dec. 2. To RSVP, or if you have any questions, call Katie Allen at Norton County Hospital. The number is 785-877-3351.
The hospital’s conference room is located on the lower level. The easiest access is the entrance to the left, or west, of the main clinic entrance. We recommend parking in the clinic parking lot, located at 807 N. State St. Participants should look for an event sign to direct them to the correct door to enter.
