Norton County Hospital provides staff notice

NORTON, Kan. – Effective Feb. 27, 2017, Dr. Jeffery McKinley is no longer employed with Norton County Hospital and its clinics, Norton Medical Clinic and Logan Clinic. Consistent with hospital policy, personnel matters are confidential and cannot be discussed in further detail. The hospital’s Board of Trustees and staff would like to thank Dr. McKinley for his previous work and wish him well in his new endeavors.

The hospital’s Board of Trustees and staff would also like to thank the public for its patience during this time of transition. Providing high-quality service for patients, their families and the local communities is always the priority. The hospital and clinics will continue to work diligently to ensure patients’ needs are met.

Remaining on the medical staff are four physicians and three mid-level practitioners who will be taking on many of the duties previously held by Dr. McKinley. The rest of the staff remains without personnel changes and is prepared to assist patients as well. Patients wanting to establish care with another medical provider may do so by calling the Norton Medical Clinic at 785-877-3305. Staff will be reaching out to patients with immediate medical appointments or scheduled orders to discuss options for transferring those to another medical provider.
