Norton County Hospital to host free Medicare session

NORTON, Kan. – Norton County Hospital welcomes Medicare patients and others who are interested to attend a free informational session about Medicare basics, supplement plans and open enrollment. The session will take place Thursday, Oct. 12 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the hospital’s conference room, which is located on the lower level. Attendees are encouraged to park in the Norton Medical Clinic lot and look for signs to direct them to the meeting location.

This informational session is intended to help Medicare patients and answer their questions ahead of the Medicare open enrollment period, which begins on Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7 for a Jan. 1, 2018 coverage effective date.

Leading the discussion and answering questions will be a representative from the Northwest Kansas Area Agency on Aging. Also present will be the K-State Research and Extension Twin Creeks District to provide additional resources.
