NORTON, Kan. – Dr. Isaac Hatton will join Norton County Hospital and Norton Medical Clinic on temporary assignment beginning Oct. 1 through Dec. 17. Dr. Hatton is a family physician who was born and grew up in Papua New Guinea. He did his undergraduate work at College of the Ozarks in Missouri and then went to medical school in Israel. He did his residency in South Bend, Indiana.
Last year, Dr. Hatton completed the Via Christi Family Medicine International Fellowship and as part of the fellowship, spent five months working in Rwanda, Africa. His long-term plan is to practice medicine among refugee populations overseas. Dr. Hatton and his wife, Camille, have one son who is a year old.
Norton County Hospital gladly welcomes Dr. Hatton and his family to the Norton area. The hospital will keep the public informed of physicians temporarily working at its facility while recruitment continues for permanent physicians.
