NORTON, Kan. – Norton County Hospital (NCH) and Medical Clinics is pleased to announce Kevin Faughnder as their new Chief Executive Officer.
NCH is a 25-bed critical access hospital and Level IV trauma center, co-located with the Norton Medical Clinic. NCH and the Norton Medical Clinic provide medical services for residents in Norton County and surrounding northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska communities. NCH has 130 dedicated and skilled employees to assist medical providers in all levels of inpatient care, a full range of outpatient ancillary services, and several visiting physician specialty clinics.
Before joining NCH, Faughnder was the Director of Information Technology for Jefferson Community Health & Life (JCH&L), in Fairbury, Nebraska. JCH&L is a 17-bed, critical access hospital with a rural clinic, one 40-bed Long Term Care Facility, and a 65-bed Assisted Living Facility, serving southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas. JCH&L offers inpatient, outpatient, swing-bed care, 24-hour emergency services, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and a wide range of outpatient specialty clinics.
Before joining JCH&L, Faughnder spent more than 26 years serving as an Army Officer in the Signal Corps. In that capacity, he served all over the world, led both small and large organizations, and finished his career as a Colonel in December 2020.
Faughnder holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ball State University, a Master’s of Business Administration from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, a Master’s in Information Technology from Webster University, a Master’s of Science in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, and a certificate in Executive Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University.
Faughnder has three sons who all live in Indiana. His hobbies include volunteering in veteran organizations, restoring and cooking with vintage cast iron cookware, and reading.
